HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

I use evidence-based strategies to help you improve your nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress reduction, sleep, tobacco cessation skills, and cancer wellness goals. Often, we know what we need to do, it is hard to be consistent with those practices. Together, we will identify strengths and opportunities to help you maintain consistency with your positive health behaviors and achieve your goals.

All programs are based on 8 weeks with 30 minute one on one sessions (exercise sessions may be up to 45 minutes and can be added to coaching call for additional fee) with personal email check ins sent between weekly sessions for additional information, support and accountability. All clients have unlimited access to coach via email. Please give me up to 24 hours to respond.

How to be successful establishing good habits

Many people struggle to make new habits stick, whether adding a healthy behavior or removing an unhealthy one. Behavior change happens by altering a mindset and creating a plan. Three important factors that can aid in creating lasting change are discipline, determination, and dedication.

Making a habit stick is hard because change is difficult. It requires us to step out of our comfort zones and rewire our brains to form new neural pathways. This process takes time and effort, but with the right mindset and approach, it is possible to create lasting change in our lives.

The first step in successful habit formation is making a decision. You need to be clear about what you want to achieve and why you want to achieve it. This decision should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). By setting a clear goal, you are more likely to stay motivated and focused on forming the habit.


Throughout your journey, I will be here to cheer you, hold you accountable, and provide the resources you need to be successful.

Active Aging Strength and Energy Program

CLASS OVERVIEW

This 8 week hybrid (online and in person/live) program is for adults 50 and older who want to actively age and improve their quality of life, feel better in their bodies so they can do the activities important to them.

Together, we establish a foundation of physical movement, quality nutrition and sleep routines to help you meet your goals. Then we (you and me) create achievable and sustainable behaviors that you can consistently implement in your life. Each week you have a 30 minute coaching call where we discuss habits, strengths and opportunities, and a 45 minute virtual or in person exercise session. In the online portion of the program, you will receive new lessons, weekly habit tracker, weekly goal action plan (created during your coaching call), home workout and other resources to help you meet your goals.

Because this program is personalized to YOUR specific needs, it is open to those with and without chronic conditions and can include people diagnosed with cancer (going through cancer treatment or have finished treatment); cardiovascular-related conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and metabolic conditions such as diabetes; and musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis.

Small consistently acheivable steps that will lead to your health and wellness goals.

Medical Clearance may be necessary for this program.

Strength Balance Mobility Flexibility

CLASS OVERVIEW

This program is for adults over 45 who have acute or chronic illnesses or have risk factors for acute or chronic illnesses. We focus on functional movements to improve strength, balance, mobility and flexibility. Sessions are 45 minutes and can be virtual or in person (local). Home based workouts can be purchased to supplement sessions with coach.

Tobacco Cessation Session

CLASS OVERVIEW

This program is for tobacco and nicotine users who are ready to quit. Together, we create an individualized plan by understanding your current habits and how to implement small, effective changes to your life to meet your goals. We can work with your physician regarding Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) options, if that is of interest to you. I want to help you eliminate tobacco and nicotine products so you can breathe better, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer, and participate in the lifestyle activities you desire.
